Summary and analysis of weather 2008
Overall the year turned out to be 0.4°C above the 30 year mean (2008 was 0.2°C) a similar rise to previous years of full records. With monthly anomalies turning predominantly positive with the exception of December. Rainfall was above average with some very wet months causing severe flooding in November. According to the Met Office the greatest rainfall on record for the British Isles was recorded for this region.
